About QCSW

Queensboro Council for Social Welfare (QCSW) is a 99 year old social services agency, founded in 1922, that has been assisting Queens' children, teens, adults and senior citizens. Our agency provides services to clients through our Information and Referral Program. This Information & Referral program serves all Queens residents. Information is available without any fees on: caregiver support, day care, entitlements, job counseling, senior services, personal problems, substance abuse programs, consumer rights, housing rights, crime victims’ assistance, education, and mental health.

We serve on committees, boards, and task forces such as the Queens Public Television, Transitional Services for New York and the New York City National Association of Social Workers. Our agency serves as a training site for community college students, BSW, and MSW students, and DFTA Senior Employment Program participants.

QCSW offers information sessions in libraries, senior and community centers on topics such as consumer rights, housing rights, and domestic violence services.

On a monthly basis, we publish and distribute Neighbor News. This newsletter is written both in English and Spanish.
